Persian Blue Salt

Persian blue salt has existed for over one hundred million years ago and is extracted from deep mines in the mountains of the Semnan province in Northern Iran. The blue colour of Persian Blue salt comes from sylvinite, a potassium mineral, only present in the halite salts. They are normally pink and the blue colour is extremely rare. 
 
Persian blue salt is rich in nutritients. The minerals extracted from the mountains is rich in calcium, magnesium, iron and potassium. As only a few tons are extracted per year, it’s one of the world’s rarest salts.
