Japanese Yuzu is an essential ingredient to much of Japanese cooking. This rare spice is acid and slightly bitter, appreciated for its intense floral aroma that has hints of mandarin orange. In Japan, it’s used in many vegetable dishes and for fish. Classic dishes such as miso soup and ramen noodles often call upon Yuzu as well. It can also be found in the famous spice blend Shichimi Togarashi.
