Borneo Laksa

I am always asked what my favorite food is I have had after traveling over a hundred countries. Although I can’t give a number one, I can tell if there is one close to it, its Laksa from the Island of Borneo. 

In the Malaysian provinces of Sarawak and Sabah, the cuisine is influenced by multiple different ethnic groups. Local tribal groups, Indonesia to the South, Hong Kong to the North, Indian Immigrants and Thai influence as well. 

All these wonderful cultures adding in their touch have inspired what I believe to be one of the best foods on the planet, Laksa. It’s a soupy, curry, noodle-like dish that is made from a complex delicious broth. All the goodness that is in this soup inspired me to put it in spice form. 

Our Borneo Laksa spice is a testament to one of the most delicious things you will ever have. In spice form, it is versatile and can be experimented with, but if you want it the traditional way just add it to a coconut milk broth and make a curry.
