Yukishio or "Okinawa snow salt" gets its name from it's soft, powdery texture. It is a sea salt unique to Okinawa and is mainly produced on one island: Miyakojima. It is said to have the highest mineral content of any salt in the world.


We love using this salt as a finishing salt or adding into cooking, it works well for anything you have in mind. Our favourite is adding it on Yakitori and more expensive cuts of steaks, but also works great on daikon radish or BBQ green onions!
