Extra Aged Mandarin Peel
Mandarin peels are a key component in many Chinese cuisines. Being extra aged from 15 – 20 years allows the Mandarin peels to lose their bitterness and develop a delicious mellow flavour with a bight. In China and Japan, they call this spice Chinipi and use it in may soups, stocks, teas and spice blends. Pairing this spice with Chinese Five Spice adds a a whole new dimension of flavour! Chinipi is also used in our Shichimi Togarashi Japanese blend. At home we love to cook this spice with BBQ and pork dishes, try this truly rare and special spice from China!
