Commonly used throughout Mexico, avocado leaves are best  in slow-cooked dishes like mexican bean, braised meats, moles and tamales. Used the same way a Bay Leaf is, Avocado Leaves release a pungent fragrance and flavor of aniseed that is quickly released when the leaves are heated in a pan. Use whole or ground in any of your Mexican inspired dishes!
